3D in the home cinema has finally died

At this point, I would like to be an ex-3D fan: When the technology in the cinema and home cinema took a slow ride, little time elapsed until I secured my first plasma with support for active 3D via shutter technology. Against polarization spoke for me the halving of the vertical resolution and the subjective feeling that with active 3D the effects are more perceptible. For a long time, Blu-ray 3D such as “Ich – Einfach Unverbesserlich”, “Coraline” or “Avatar: Aufbruch nach Pandora” were real highlights for me. But now basically all major manufacturers have buried 3D for home cinema. And I also notice that my farewell to the technology was actually done silently long ago.
