Acer Iconia tablets provides Atom socs and Android 5.0




Acer Thursday two new Android tablets announced the Iconia series. The Iconia One 8, that comes with a stylus, and Iconia Tab 10, which is focused on education, both feature quad-core Intel Atom socs and run on Android 5.0.

The Acer Iconia One 8 B1-820 provides an 8 “IPS touch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. According to Acer screen features called Precision Plus technology that would improve the input with a stylus. In addition to an unspecified quad Atom-soc is 1GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal flash storage available.

At the rear, is to find a 5 mega-pixel camera, while a 3-megapixel camera is placed at the front. The tablet runs on Android 5.0 and has besides wifi on Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The tablet weighs 355 grams, is 9.5mm thick and has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours. The Iconia One 8 B1-820, which is available in various colors, is available from July for 179 euros.

According to Acer, the Tab 10 mainly for education, partly because it participates in the Google Education program and some specific Iconia applications for educational purposes under the name EZ Acer has added to the Android 5.0 firmware. The battery would not last approximately 5 hours. The 540 gram tablet coming next month on the market and will cost 299 euros.
