Acer introduces two new smartphones with 64bit processors




Acer has announced two new smartphones in the Liquid series. The Z410 is a budget model and has a 64bit processor with support for 4G. The new Jade S should cost slightly more and has a 64bit octacore-soc MediaTek.

The Liquid Z410 has a 4.5 “screen with resolution of 950×540 pixels. Which model is Acer processor runs in the housing not said, but it is clear that it is a quad-core Mali T760 GPU. That makes it plausible it is the MediaTek MT6732, which is built around Cortex A53 cores. There is support for 4G LTE through and there built a 5-megapixel camera on the back. On the front is still a 2-megapixel camera.

According to Acer, the Liquid Z410 in February in Europe. The new model is called a price of 129 euros, making it therefore a budget model. Release in the Netherlands and Belgium seems plausible.

The manufacturer also let know to release the successor of the Liquid Jade in Europe. The new model with suffix S has a octacore-soc MediaTek model number MT6752M. The screen has a diagonal of 5 “with resolution of 1280×720 pixels. For pictures is a 13-megapixel camera present and the RAM is 2GB. Acer had the Liquid Jade S already announced for the Taiwanese market. This month is the European release for a price of 299 euros.

Both new models run on Android 4.4, but an update to Android 5.0 is already promised. That update is also necessary to be able to make use of the 64bits mode.

Further announced the manufacturer a projector with built Chromecast support that image displays at full HD resolution. All announced projects will be shown at the upcoming CES show in Las Vegas.
