Acer launches 12.5 “tablet with kickstand and keyboard link




Acer has announced the Aspire Switch 12 hybrid. The 2-in-1 laptop and tablet has a 12.5 “touch screen with full HD resolution and a kickstand. Acer supplies the system with a keyboard that users can click to the housing via a magnetic system.

Acer lists five modes for the Aspire Switch 12: notebook, tablet, screen, ‘tented’ and desktop. The keyboard can be used when it is locked in to the system, but can also be used wirelessly. For the Acer tablet operating supplies a stylus with it, but users can optionally purchase a sensitive Active Pen1.

The processor of the Aspire Switch 12 is an unnamed m Core Intel. The cooling is passive and partly due to the efficient processor would according of battery life when watching video 8 hours can be achieved Acer. The 12.5 “screen has an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

The Aspire Switch 12 also has a wireless network card 2×2, micro USB 3.0 and micro HDMI. The hybrid is available in the Netherlands with 60GB EMMC flash storage or an SSD of 128 GB. In the Netherlands and Belgium the delivery of the 60GB model starting in late November for a starting price of 649 euros. Whether and when the 128GB model comes in the Benelux is not known.

Update, 13.15: Added that brings Acer initially the 60GB model to the Benelux. The previously mentioned in the article 30GB model does not come out here.
