Adobe bought mobile photo editor Aviary Photo Editor




Adobe bought the company Aviary, well-known developer of mobile applications Photo Editor and SDK-set that allows websites and creators of mobile programs built into their products tools for processing images. The cost of the transaction were not disclosed.


Aviary produces one of the best graphic editors for iOS. Besides the standard functions of a mobile photo editor, it has a variety of additional effects, the app has a simple interface and rich functionality. The set of functions can be expanded at the expense of the most downloaded applications additions – both paid and free.

Told the head of Tobias Peggsa Aviary, the company has no plans to close the application and services – all developments will be available as before. In this case, developers will be provided with new opportunities, including access to the cloud service Creative Cloud and file formats Adobe.

As described in the company’s discussion of the transaction was carried out with Adobe and a half years. All employees Aviary will be transferred to an American corporation.
