Jon Callas, co-founder of Black Phone maker Silent Circle, believes that advertising companies pose a greater threat to privacy than governments. Also, companies that are not only betting on ads for the future.

Nest and privacy Callas, who was also involved in setting up a company that focused on the PGP encryption software lets in a interview with ZDNet also know that the struggle around adblockers is far from over. Users get more need to guard against the collection of data by companies.

These have claimed Callas much more data about citizens than governments. For example, about surf and search behavior on the Internet. This information is valuable to offer ads, and companies like Google and Facebook have since claimed Callas therefore their business built around it.

However, there would also see a separation between the big technology companies. So Apple and Microsoft would just monetize their products, rather than advertisements. The information collected by these companies and put them only in order to improve their products, writes ZDNet. Google and Facebook these data would just sell to third parties. Callas adds that once adblockers become more widespread, these companies will see their incomes plummet. Companies should deploy correctly to protect the privacy of their users to have a future.
