The lawsuit was filed by two residents of Florida.
This week, two representatives of other states, acting on its own behalf and on behalf of other members have filed a similar class-action lawsuit. They are sure that this is done in order to get users to sign up for a paid storage system iCloud.
According to the plaintiffs, Apple lowered and distorted important factual information pertaining to the use of the memory capacity of 8 and 16 GB iPhone, iPad, and the iPod, and introduced consumer confusion about the validity of the amount of available memory. Operating System iOS 8 occupies a significant portion of memory in the case of devices with 8 and 16 GB of memory, so that the user can use much less memory than indicated in advertising.
