Medion-x16015-article image As of November 3, Aldi Süd has a Medion TV: the Medion X16015 with 40 inches and a native resolution of 3.840 x 2.160 pixels (Ultra HD). Other features such as HDR or even DolbyVision are not on board, which should be expected at such a price but probably not synonymous. Medion promotes the picture quality with a Motion Picture Index of 1,200, which is more of a marketing figure, because this is not a standard, but advertising gimmicks. After all, the TV already supports DVB-T2-HD and can also be equipped with a module for CI + and a smart card.

In addition, there are four HDMI connectors with HDCP 2.2. Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and LAN for Internet connections are also included with the Medion X16015. In order for the interfaces to make sense, Medion installs an app for Netflix. Of course, a lot of image-badge switchers are switchable, with which one should be careful. For the panel, Medion has a static contrast of 5,000: 1 and a dynamic contrast of 25,000: 1. The brightness is 350 cd / m2. Of course, an LED backlight is used, as it is today with TVs standard.

Two stereo speakers with a total output of 8 watts are also integrated. As additional interfaces, in addition to the already mentioned, Medion still offers: 1x antenna, 1x satellite, 1x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1 xSCART, 1 xVGA (15 pin D-Sub), Y (Video) PbPr In (YUV, AV) (RCA), audio in for YUV, PC, AV (RCA), headphone jack (3.5 mm jack), digital audio out (SPDIF) (optical) plus subwoofer out (RCA). The Medion X16015 measures 922 x 548 x 89 mm without and approximately 922 x 608 x 275 mm with feet. The weight is 7.3 and 7.9 kg, respectively. In addition to the TV itself are the mentioned feet with screws, a remote control including batteries and a manual plus warranty card included.

At Aldi South, the Medion X16015 costs 329 euros, which is very fair for the diagonal and resolution. If you are interested, you can strike from 3 November.
