All devices with Android KitKat can now stream screen Chromecast




Google is rolling out an update to its own Chromecast app so that all Android devices running on minimal KitKat 4.4.2 can stream their screen display to HDMI stick. Some devices were already compatible with the service.

In order to use the functionality Chromecast owners should download the appropriate app. Users then need to perform a few simple steps to connect to the HDMI stick. The function to cast the screen would not optimized for all devices, so writes Android Police. In addition, only devices that run at least Android version 4.4.2 supported.

Users can select the image on their Android device via the Chromecast streamed to their TVs. This makes it possible to see such as pictures and videos on a TV. In June, the beta of the service was rolled out . Some devices could already handle the function, including the Nexus devices and high-end devices from Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC. Google has also made further changes to the interface, which is now based on the Material Design design.
