Amazon comes this spring with a competitor for the business version of Gmail and Microsoft Exchange, under the name Workmail. Users can encrypt mail traffic itself and the focus will be on security.

Amazon logo Amazon charges $ 4 per user per month for Workgroups Mail, which provides software for e-mail and calendar management. The mailbox can have a maximum size of 50GB, reports Forbes. The service can only be used for businesses and not for individuals. It falls under at Amazon AWS cloud services from the merchant.

The American company focuses on security. Users can encrypt mails themselves with a key in-house or encryption leave to Amazon. This is done through KMS . Workmail is compatible with Exchange, so users should be able to switch easily. Amazon brings the service in the spring.
