Find a Question:
Amazon will issue TLS Certificates
Amazon Web Services has its Certificate Manager service has been launched on AWS. At the same time, Microsoft has an update for Windows Amazon root certificates classed as ‘trusted’. This Amazon is a trusted certificate authority.
Amazon is doing the communication on his own AWS blog, which also explains how a client can use the new service in AWS apps. Thereby installing an SSL certificate on Amazon’s own platform easier. How Amazon are going exactly promote certificates is not yet clear. It is not yet known how active the company’s certificates will bring to the market.
In mid-2015 did Amazon already an application with Mozilla and the Android Open Source Project for certificate authority. The certificates of AWC Certificate Manager or ACM have been verified by certificate authority Amazons Amazon and Trust Services. SSL / TLS certificates that are used by AWS Certificate Manager, are free on Amazon’s Elastic Load Balancers, and Amazon CloudFront.
At this time, AWS Certificate Manager is available in the eastern United States, with new regions in the planning. Gradually, other AWS services may use ACM and later other domains. When it will be possible to precisely and whether there are related to services outside of AWS extra costs, it is not known.
