AMD Announces FirePro card with 32GB memory for workstations

AMD has announced a new version of the FirePro W9100, a model that is equipped with 32GB instead of 16GB GDDR5. The card is intended for workstations and AMD drops the introduction coincide with those of a Fire Render plug-in for 3ds Max.

Aside from doubling the memory is the same as that AMD FirePro introduced in March 2014: a card with a Hawaii GPU, a memory bus of 512bit wide and a bandwidth of 320GB / s. The FirePro W9100 32GB comes in the second quarter of this year, available for an MSRP of $ 4999, converted and VAT Euro 5372. This is the map $ 1000 more expensive than the W9100 with 16GB, AMD continues to offer besides the 32GB version.

AMD can be done by the claim introduction, the workstation card with the greatest amount of memory to have on the market. In late March brought an Nvidia Quadro M6000 with 24GB of GDDR5, a card with a memory bandwidth of up to 317GB / s and single precision peak performance 7Tflops.

Simultaneously with the card AMD brings the path tracing renderer Fire Render plug-in for Autodesk 3ds Max out.
