In business, often deal with the sale and leaseback of the sold property that is leased. This approach enables companies to rapidly increase its cash and at the same time not much harm in this business itself. In the same way, and the company is AMD .
The second-largest U.S. giant in the manufacture x86 and x64-compatible processors sold Southwest Parkway Holdings located in Texas campus «Lone Star». Southwest Parkway Holdings, by the way, is a subsidiary of investment firm Spear Street Capital.
When all the details of the transaction will be closed, AMD will take this campus to rent for 12 years. After those 12 years, evacuated, or the company will offer to buy out the campus, or to continue to use it on a rental basis.
Leasing for AMD not unusual. For example, the California headquarters in Sunnyvale, was sold in 1998 and is still on loan at AMD. In 2008, too, have been a big deal for the sale and leasing companies in Markham, Ontario, in Canada.
The deal to sell Lone Star campus will bring to the collection of AMD 164 million dollars (125.75 million euros).
