In a foretaste of what is in store for the company in 2016, AMD announced to release several new processors. The company is restructuring its sockets and comes with new coolers. In anticipation of the new socket AM4, which should unify the existing AM3 socket, FM2 and AM1, the motherboards are also provided with an upgrade. So get several AM3 + motherboards support for M2-SSD and USB 3.1 ports, with or without a type C connector. The same applies to FM2 + -signs, although the share m2 sockets is smaller.
For the AM3 + -socket come to attend any new processors, but existing models do get a new cooler. AMD has this new cooler called the Wraith and this would, according to the company are much quieter than the previously supplied D3 cooler. The Wraith must not only quieter, but also better cooling. The cooler would unnecessarily make the purchase of coolers from third parties. Tweakers tested the cooler with the FX-8370, the first processor that comes with the Wraith. Incidentally, the FX-8370 is also sold with the old cooler; The set price is ten dollars below the current price.
AMD is also working on a second, silent cooler, in addition to the Wraith, but for TDP up to 95W instead of 125W which the Wraith is appropriate. This cooler is introduced with the rest of new AMD processors in the course of 2016. That will be two processors: an APU and an Athlon. The APU is the A10-7860K, four Steamroller cores at 3,6GHz to 4GHz turbo and eight GPU cores. The 7860K will replace a TDP of 65W and is the A10-7850K, A10-7700K and A10-7800. The Athlon X4 845, AMD’s first desktop processor with Excavator cores, the new cooler will. This Zacate processor, a platform for laptops, no GPU on board and gets a TDP of 65W at 3.5GHz clock speeds of up to 3.8G.
Finally, AMD will introduce later this year a A10-7890K and get the Athlon X4 870K and 860K same 95W quieter cooler as the A10-7860K and X4 845.
