Find a Question:
Android now dominates the tablet market
It took me a while to Android tablets the same day as triumphant inserted at the time in smartphones. While even decline in deliveries at Apple, they verdoppelteten almost at Android tablets compared to the second quarter of 2012. Total 2013 51.7 million tablets were sold in the second quarter, 34.6 million of them have the Android operating system on board.
Apple could take no new momentum despite favorable iPad Mini. Compared to last year we sold 2.4 million fewer tablets. The market share in the second quarter of 2013 declined to 28.3%. Last year, the iPad accounted for another 47.2% of the market. Android dominates the market with 67% clear. Similar to the range smartphones , other systems do not play a role. Windows tablets are with 4.5% market share of third in the league.
How much of the market share is worth, however, has yet to be seen. There are always Webnutzungs and ad tracking statistics that show a higher online usage of the iPad over Android tablets. Bring the manufacturers not actually say anything, because the pure hardware sales include, but should not be ignored in the overall context.
The argument put forward like “Android has no tablet apps” should be invalidated with these numbers. Either it is the people do not care and they still buy an Android tablet, or there is just not yet so few that are optimized for tablets. It’s like Windows Phone. It is said that there are far too few apps, but you ask for concrete examples of what app because actually missing, the respondents are already floundering.
With the new Nexus 7 and the flood of cheap Android tablets, the market share will continue to increase safe. Namely, the price is certainly no small role in the fight and market shares.Viewing:-198
