Android n Google today released the Android 7.1.1 . Pixel and Nexus users have access to the new features as usual. Google itself informs that the partners were informed about the security gaps and problems already on 7 November or earlier. The latest release of Android 7.1.1 includes all closed gaps Google calls in the Android Security Bulletin December 2016. The corresponding source code is to be handed over to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) within the next 48 hours. Since September 2016, Google has two parallel patch levels. Distributing the patches into separate fixes should help ensure that other vendors do not have to solve all the problems in order to distribute an update to their customers.
