At the opening of the WWDC 2013 Apple has shown a whole new class of applications for iOS. Anki – the world’s first artificial intelligence, running on a mobile device. In September this year will release a new generation of racing games Anki Overdrive, working on the basis of innovative technology.

Anki – are small toy cars with an electric motor and battery powered, which move autonomously, being controlled by software based on iOS.

Feature of the game is that the cars have the skill of self-learning. Analogue of artificial intelligence allows them each time to choose a more optimal path. At the same time to select the path using special sensors installed on the machine.

Anki programmers created from Carnegie Mellon University in the US. Mini cars can move independently around the track in response to the changing situation on the road and the actions of other road users. Information on the current status is removed using onboard sensors and is computed at a rate of 500 times per second. Data exchange with the iPhone is done by wireless Bluetooth.

Anki Overdrive is a further development of a series of cars Anki Drive. Models feature a new design, improved system of intelligence and have the ability to jump. Table racing game Anki Overdrive, including two learning machines running applications for iOS, will go on sale in September. Included with the car will go a new modular circuit. One set will allow to make 8 different racing tracks “with daring jumps and turns.”
