Apple added in OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 politically correct “emoticons”
The company Apple, a member of the organization Unicode Consortium, has developed a mechanism for creating politically correct “emoticons”, with which you can change the color of the skin in a number of icons. This possibility appears at Mac users with the release of the final version of the update OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 .
The first beta version of OS X 10.10.3, in addition to new application Photography , Apple updated the panel to select Emoji. It is available to any application on your Mac and open the command Control + Command + Space.
New mechanism of insertion “Emoji” provides an opportunity to use new icons representing different shades of color. They can be used with other icons depicting human faces, so that they can change color. Total suggested five possible skin tones.
This mechanism will be included in the new standard Unicode, which will be released in mid-2015. The proposal comes from Apple and Google, though, if adopted, “politically correct” Emoji will appear on other platforms, in addition to OS X and iOS. In addition to Apple changed the icons in OS X 10.10.3 format organizing icons on the panel. Now they open on one screen with a slider and broken down into sections.
Emoji in due time became the national standard in Japan, where visual culture is of great importance. This word is formed by adding the two nouns – the picture (e) and letter (moji). Different variations of “Emoji” offer three largest operator in the country – NTT DoCoMo, au and SofBank Mobile.
The main innovation OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta 1 was the application for processing and storing images Photos that Apple will replace iPhoto. A test version of the new program is now available to registered developers. The final release of OS X 10.10.3 is expected this spring.
