Apple adds quietly bluetooth 2.4 to iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2




It seems that Apple has a number of its devices without announcement has provided an upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0 Bluetooth 4.2. The changes in the specifications on the product page on Apple’s website.

AppleInsider discovered that the specifications for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Air 2 have been adjusted. Where previously it was reported that iOS devices have support for Bluetooth 4.0, it is now at version 4.2. It is unclear whether a software update is based, or that Apple quietly new chips have built-in, thus it is not known whether previously sold units also feature Bluetooth 4.2. However, it is clear that the product number of the devices are not changed. Apple has not yet responded to the notice.
