Find a Question:
Apple allows iOS switch to mobile data in bad wifi signal
Apple has the ability built into the latest test version of its IOS 9 operating system to recognize whether a user is suffering from a weak Wi-Fi signal. If anyone these new Wi-Fi Assist function has listed, the phone automatically switches to 3G or 4G.
The new Wi-Fi Assist option can be found in the Network menu in the Settings app on a device with iOS 9. When the function is activated, the device will automatically switch to 3G or 4G network as the active wifi signal is too weak.
Users can not configure this at any time to a weak signal and it is not known when the signal is automatically switched. Presumably Apple will use this function to correct the problem that many users experience when they are near a known network and their device to connect automatically, while the signal is actually too weak to make a decent data connection.
Last month, Apple made a public test version of iOS is available 9. Everyone who had signed up for the beta program was therefore eligible to download and install the new operating system, while it was previously reserved for developers and specially registered devices. It is not known whether Apple will also update the public test version.Viewing:-160
