Apple appears to have patented feature from Galaxy Note handsets earlier




Apple has a distinctive feature of the Galaxy series Samsung patented before using it. It is the circular menu that appears when users hold the Note S-Pen just above the screen. Apple now has a patent on that interface idea.

Apple first applied for the patent for OS X devices, and now also for iOS devices, notes Patently Apple. The images in the patent show a menu similar to the Air Command feature that Samsung first showed the Galaxy Note 3 , with an element central to the center and various features around it, which the user can select the input means there dragging.

Although Samsung feature already used one year, Apple has its first patent applications years ago filed in Europe and South Korea. That Apple is not the first with the idea: include IBM has been around much longer patent on such a menu. About the same time, Apple also Microsoft has some sort of system already patented .

Apple and Samsung are legal for years together in the clinch; Apple claims that Samsung has copied design elements and features, while Samsung says that Apple uses certain technologies without a license. Although the companies battle previously performed in dozens of countries, there are now only running business in the United States.
