Find a Question:
Apple buys Novauris: Siri gets an offline mode?
Apple has bought a fairly small company. Novauris is already connected with patents and technology with Siri, also already working within Apple. What exactly is going on but, of course, is not known. Novauris is known for its strength in offline recognition that would fit very well for Siri. Yet it is so that all requests are only sent once to a server. In areas without an internet connection then no use of Siri is possible. For example, to create but appointments, Siri requires, in principle, no Internet connection, but could all settle directly on the device when the input speech is recognized for. The date for the Apple WWDC this year is already, there should then be presented iOS 8. Maybe Siri can work then, without constantly having to call home.
