Apple co-founder promotes Chinese brand Xiaomi smartphones

Stupid occupation Chinese company Xiaomi put on a par with technology giants such as Apple and Samsung. For the majority of smartphone users in the U.S. and Europe the name «Xiaomi» means nothing. Many of them do not realize the existence of this brand. Nevertheless, the company is based in Beijing and eventually may become a threat to Samsung and Apple , leading to date on the global smartphone market.

A few days ago, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak visited the headquarters of Xiaomi. Typically, this person pay extra for performances at events dedicated to technological topics, but this time it sounded praise free. He confirmed it. In particular, Mr. Wozniak recommend products Xiaomi, stating that the company smartphones able to excite American market. Resource TechinAsia quoted him as saying:

Do Xiaomi great products. They have everything you need to break into the American market.

Obviously, Xiaomi has great potential. Lei Jun, chairman and co-founder of Xiaomi, is among the richest people in China. Asian media often refer to it as “Chinese Steve Jobs,” although he did not really like it. Another co-founder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, the former Executive Vice President of Research Institute of Google China. After leaving Google, he established a new business.

Of course, not every American market in the teeth. Perhaps, Xiaomi no plans to go to North America, and intends to continue to conquer Asia. In any case, two of the company can pick up the Samsung and Apple are some of the market.

In the new year Xiaomi hopes to double its sales to 40 million smartphones. So far, the company sells its Android-smartphones only in China and some other South Asian countries.
