Apple Is Poised To Launch New Apple TV Platform With 4K And HDR Support

Apple is preparing to launch a new version of its TV platform, Apple TV, which supports high-definition content 4K and HDR technology, according to a new report published by the site “MacRumors” MacRumors.

The Apple site said iTunes began to show movies as supporting 4K and HDR technology in the user purchases record, meaning Apple’s digital interface – and most likely its devices – can support ultra-clear video soon.

A new version of the Apple TV platform supports 4K and HDR, which began months ago, and probably much earlier, but the Macromers report strongly suggests that the company is close to releasing this version of the platform.

It is worth mentioning that there is currently no way to download the 4K and HDR movies via iTunes, but now they are starting to show this in the purchase record only. Apple is thought to have not inadvertently added it if it does not make 4K and HDR movies at some point in the future.

As Apple used to announce new products every autumn in preparation for the holiday season, it is likely to announce the new version of the Apple TV platform supporting the 4K and HDR technology later this year.
