Apple is weakening, with TSMC deal more from Samsung

In the future, Apple on SoCs from Samsung can do without. Thanks to a deal with chip maker TSMC, the company from Cupertino releases more of the Koreans.
Apple is weakening, with TSMC deal more from Samsung

It is a paradoxical situation: Apple and Samsung are fighting to the utmost in the courts of this world, make their products compete with each other, are on the other side but also depend on each other: Apple can not do without the parts from Samsung, because no one otherwise this can provide quality in these numbers, and Samsung takes this not inconsiderable revenue of course be happy with.

As the Wall Street Journal now reports, Apple has signed with semiconductor manufacturer TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) from Taiwan a deal that ensures that the company no longer has to serve in the future chips from Samsung. Quite surprisingly, this does not come now, but both companies have already tried over the years to such an agreement. Now, finally, is probably ensured that TSMC claims Apple is sufficient both in quantity and quality delivery.

However, we will in the next versions of the iPhone or iPad still find SoCs from Samsung. From one day to the next as a change is not on the stage as you could agree on 2014 as the date on which the production starts to roll, iDevices will appear with Samsung heart in the first year yet. From 2015, then Apple may finally begin to increasingly give more on semiconductors from Korea.

Whether that then everything really so smoothly across the stage goes as planned and achieve both numbers and quality to the desired level, we can not yet foresee now – at least Apple makes now but another step in the direction to move away from Samsung and Koreans must consider how they intend to offset this financial loss by now.
