Apple Music is available early on Amazon Echo speakers

Users of an Amazon Echo can now use their speakers to play music through Apple Music. The service should have been available next week, but can already be used by people with a subscription.

The website 9To5Mac noted that the service is now available to Echo users, and is accessible by linking the Apple Music account with the Alexa application. After that it is possible to play music on the smart speaker.

After linking the accounts, users can enter commands to play music on the Echo. Not all functions are available yet, according to 9To5Mac. For example, it is not yet possible to play music that has been added manually. It is also not possible to add a song that is played via the Echo directly to the music library.

Amazon had already announced that his smart speakers would receive support for Apple Music. That should happen from next week, but from Friday users already announced that they could play music through Apple’s service. The speakers have been able to deal with Spotify , Deezer and TuneIn for some time now.
