Apple patent describes Siri for Mac 6

Rumors that Siri will appear on OS X, for a long time hovering on the web. And here we are reminded of. Published patent describing a voice assistant for desktop computers.

The patent was filed in February of this year and describes a system that is “hidden” in the dock and waiting for commands from the user (voice or traditional – with the arrow keys). In this technology means that the user can talk to Siri and use the mouse and keyboard for other tasks.

Tasks to be solved assistant, similar to those that solves mobile version of Siri – «find a document”, “run the program”, “to tell you about this or that event”, “call my mom.”

But there are also special features: assistant will receive a separate application and will be able to perform more complex tasks. For example, the program can drag files and daddy ask “sort by date”. In the same way – “tightening” files into the program – you can get an assistant to handle other matters. Packet, decrease photos, send letters bales, convert speech to text and text to speech. So, doing one thing (writing the text), you can string up Siri for something else (to take an assistant preparing photos for publication).

Sounds interesting, but when it is Siri for Mac still appears, no one really can not say. In the short version of OS X do not have this option. There is no trace of her. One thing is clear, if we iOS and OS X are becoming more and more alike, without one of the main features of the mobile platform desktop can not do.
