Apple patent on an action-camera unleashed shares GoPro

United States Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple a patent for a portable action-mounted camera that can compete with cameras manufactured by GoPro. On news of the receipt of this patent GoPro shares fell 12%.

As reported at the bureau, the patent application has been filed March 12, 2012, the invention also includes some development company Eastman Kodak, which Apple acquired in November 2013.

Apple new camera can be used for underwater use, it is equipped with a microphone for both conventional and underwater recording soundtracks. The camera is equipped with an advanced remote control, and will be more resistant to external influences.
