Apple publishes source code Swift programming under open source license

Apple Thursday programming Swift after earlier promises made open source. This Apple community invites to Swift 2 better by contributing to the development of the language.

The Swift-site itself acknowledges that “small, incremental changes’ are preferred. Apple promised in June this year that it would make open-source programming language so that other manufacturers can the language adopt.

The software is released under the Apache license and is available for OS X and iOS developers. The language can be used to develop with desktop applications, but also iOS applications. There are also Linux binaries and the code can be compiled on any platform. There is also a GIT repository.
