Apple released iOS 8.2 beta 5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch




In the iOS Dev Center Apple’s official website appeared fifth beta version of the operating system iOS 8.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Download developers can build, registered in the iPhone Developer Standard and Enterprise Program.


The new assembly is held under the number 12D5480a. Release iOS 8.2 beta 5 was held three weeks after the debut of iOS 8.2 beta 4 and two weeks after the iOS 8.1.3 . Previous fourth beta came out on January 12th. iOS 8.1.3, in turn, appeared without testing, although previous minor update was tested for several weeks. Then Apple released the first beta version of the technical update, which is associated with problems with iOS 8.0 and iOS 8.0.1.

The fifth beta version of iOS 8.2 supports application development tools for Apple Watch and is designed to prepare the software that is compatible with “smart” watches. As part of the Developer Kit WatchKit program will receive additional functionality associated with wearable computers. On the other changes in iOS 8.2, in addition to supporting Apple Watch, nothing is yet known.


Download iOS 8.2 beta 5 on the site of Apple, as well as directly from your mobile device. Minimum requirements for the iOS SDK 8.2 – computer running OS X 10.9.3 (Mavericks) or later.

The final release of iOS 8.2 is expected in March in conjunction with the start of sales of Apple Watch.
