Apple releases the eighth beta iOS 12 after retiring the seventh beta

Apple has released the eighth iOS 12 trial version for developers, a few days after it retracted the seventh beta version after several hours. With that version there was a delay of ten seconds between tapping on an icon and starting the app.

The eighth beta should have resolved that bug and Apple put the new version Wednesday night Dutch time on its servers, reports MacRumors . There is no change log for the eighth beta, but due to the short time between the seventh and eighth test version for developers, little will have changed.

Apple retracted the seventh beta Monday night a few hours after release due to a bug, where users in some cases had to wait ten to fifteen seconds for an app to open. Also the ipsw files to restore an iPhone or iPad to this version has taken Apple offline.

In the changelog of the seventh beta , Apple announced that it would postpone group discussions for FaceTime until later this year. Apple is expected to release iOS 12 in a month. The company announced the new version of iOS in June at developers conference WWDC.
