Apple updated prices for cloud storage iCloud Drive
Apple has updated the price on its cloud storage iCloud Drive. This is a separate service, designed to stop the user migration to competitive solutions, including Dropbox and Google Drive.
In June, at WWDC 2014, the company reported that the initial amount of disk space 5 GB is free, and a 20 GB have to pay $ 1 per month. Now, however, stated that the monthly payment for 200 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB storage iCloud is $ 3.99, $ 9.99 and $ 19.99, respectively. Free company is also able to offer users only 5 GB.
Previously, for $ 20 a month you can get 10 GB of storage. This price reduction comes amid clouds of similar changes in the prices of competitors: Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
Some users may be disappointed that Apple become generous by only 5 GB of free disk space in iCloud, believing that a given quantity at present will not last long. Competitors offer free three times more – 15 GB instead of 5.
