Apple urges all Beats Pill XL speakers back due to overheating batteries




Apple calls all sold Beats Pill XL speakers back because of the danger that the battery could overheat and could pose a risk for fire safety. Users get the money back at Apple.

Apple has a form put online that allows customers to get their money back. Apple advises users to immediately stop using the speaker. The company last year owner of Beats, take that step, because it has found problems with the battery of the Pill XL. Which can overheat and thereby cause a fire hazard, says Apple.

The Pill XL is also for sale in the UK and it seems that Dutch users can get their money back. The speaker is on the market since November 2013. Apple has not said how many cases of overheating have occurred among users.
