Nissan Nissan is in talks with Panasonic and other companies abroad , including several Chinese companies in order to sell its stake in the field of basic working manufacturing car batteries, according to a new report published by the Reuters news agency.

The report added that the Japanese automaker wants to sell its stake amounting to 51 percent to power automotive company which manufactures lithium-ion batteries for electric cars, which is owned by NEC Corporation in partnership with Nissan.

The Nikkei newspaper reported that Nissan is looking to sell the company because it would be cheaper for them in terms of buying batteries for electric cars from other companies.

Competition is fierce among companies to supply batteries for electric cars, because of the growing number of low emission cars, which is being planned for production in the coming years.

Tesla Tesla is planning to increase the company total production of Alseartha to 500 thousand cars in 2018, and the company is currently buying batteries for electric cars from their own company Panasonic.

And bet the two companies Nissan and Renault, under the leadership of Carlos Ghosn, who heads both companies, more on electric vehicles compared with traditional rivals, which exceeded both companies to invest $ 4.43 billion to build models.

According to Reuters agency in 2014 that Carlos Ghosn is preparing to reduce the production of batteries produced by AESC company and instead of using batteries manufactured by LG LG company.
