ASRock comes with a micro-ATX version of its OC Formula motherboard for Skylake CPUs. The manufacturer claims to place as much as possible strong electronic components on the pcb. Since the motherboard has room for two DDR4 memory modules.

ASRock aims his Z170M OC Formula motherboard for users who want to build a compact system but do not want to compromise in terms of overclocking. The motherboard uses a 24pins ATX connector and an 8pin EPS connector, accounting for fourteen phases for the CPU and two phases for the memory.

The motherboard is made of a PCB which consists of ten layers. The mosfets have aluminum heat sinks and ASRock used Nichicon 12K platinum capacitors. Also, the sign has the ‘Hyper BCLK Engine’ of ASRock, a chip that makes it possible to processors which do not have to be unlocked multiplier over clocks on the basis of the base clock setting.

There are three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots available and placed in the socket 1151 socket to Intel processors by the Skylake generation. To connect HDD and SSDs are eight SATA600 ports, two SATA-Express connectors and is available one ultra-m2 terminal. The motherboard also features six USB 3.0 ports and two USB 3.1 ports, a type-a and type-C variant.

When the board appear on the market in the Benelux and at what price is not yet known.
