Asus F205 Review – Rebirth of the netbook

Asus has the EeeBook F205 a light laptop with a long battery life for a very low price build. The laptop runs Windows 8.1 and is equipped with an Office 365 license which is valid for one year. The slow hardware and the limited storage capacity should not expect miracles, but on a very interesting price tag. If the primary system F205 is not recommended, but as cheap laptopje ‘for it’.

Low price
Low weight
Good battery life
Office 365 (1yr.) Included

Connectivity impractical
Limited performance

Tweakers zegt: zeer goed!

End of 2013, Asus managed to unleash a little ‘convertible-rage’ by the Transformer Book T100 cast. The T100 is a Windows tablet with keyboard dock, which came with a cost free version of Office 2013 and 350 euros. On Tweakers we were impressed by the value for money, which comes close to the netbooks of yesteryear. The T100 was in our review then four and a half star and was called by us the first “convertible netbook.

Asus seems the same trick a year later to want to get out again by bringing a laptop on the market with the much lower price of only two hundred twenty euros. For the occasion, the dust of the Eee-type name vented and Asus has a ‘real’ netbook built a laptopje that has onboard simple hardware and weighs no more than one kilogram. Ideal for those who want to perform simple tasks on location without a bulky laptop large travel light.

Asus we received a white EeeBook F205 Z3735F with Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The price at this stage to a strong point of this laptop, but of course, we also asked ourselves whether Asus has not much to cut and thus delivered an unworkable slow product.
