Asus: following smart watch should last a week on a battery charge
Asus hint that his next smart watch a battery life of one week should have instead of the maximum of two days that it is today. That should be done by using a simpler and more efficient processor and simplify the system.
Asus foreman Jonney Shih were made during the year-end meeting of his company, announces the usually reliable Focus Taiwan. He did not promise that the successor to the current Zenwatch lasts one week, but noted that the processor and the operating system must be simplified, “so I can use it for seven days.” When the next Zenwatch true, is unknown.
The space for this improvement is there. In Zenwatch is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, a soc which also acts in many complex smartphones and tablets. Qualcomm would also work on a soc designed for smart watches.
Many current smart watches have socs for smartphones on board. Apple made its own soc for Apple Watch, which according to a recent rumor is as powerful as the A5 processor in its iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Some wearables such as the Pebble and Pebble Steel , have a less powerful and more fuel-efficient processor. In combination with the economical Memory LCD has the consequence that watches out for longer on a battery charge than Android wear watches.Viewing:-170
