Asus introduces its fastest GTX 980 so far




Asus has announced a new GeForce GTX 980, on the occasion of the fact that 20 years ago the company released its first graphics card. The GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition is the fastest GTX 980 so far from the company.

Asus has the core clock of the GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition at 1317MHz put , with a boost from 1431MHz. Thus, the clock speeds are higher than the other GTX 980 versions of Asus, as the ROG Matrix ROG Poseidon and Strix OC. There is also 4GB memory still runs at the default speed of 7010MHz.

The other properties are similar to those of the ROG Matrix GTX 980. For example, there is a 14-phase power supply and is the Direct CU II-cooler with 10mm-heat pipes and two fans provided. The map is in the gold and black fitted with adjustable LED lighting on the side. Asus claims to have used high-quality components for overclocking capabilities.

Asus says nothing about price and availability. Possibly it is a limited edition, which will probably be more expensive than the ROG Matrix, currently for a starting price of 718 euros is in the Pricewatch
