Asus launches ROG Maximus Formula VIII motherboard with EK-cooling unit

Asus is working with European and introduces a new motherboard in the Republic of Gamers series. The Maximus Formula VIII is equipped with a hybrid cross Chill cooling unit and is suitable for both water and air cooling.

According to Asus makes the integrated hybrid heatsink to install the redundant one yourself and users of the Z170 motherboard simply with water cooling started. The block would have to be compatible with most of the existing water coolers, and should provide for a temperature reduction of 23 degrees Celsius. The ATX motherboard is equipped with a 1151 socket for Intel processors of the sixth generation and supports DDR4 ram with four memory slots. Also, the use of a SupremeFX audio card 2015 in combination with an ESS ES9023P-dac.

There are both U2 and M2-jacks for include nvme-SSD. Other connections are two USB 3.1 ports, a type-A and type-c, with next ten USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports. The motherboard provides next three PCIe 2.0 x1 slots in three-PCIe 3.0 x16 slots that are suitable for both SLI and crossfire. Finally, there are connections in the form of two SATA-Express ports and eight SATA-600 ports.

Regarding the appearance makes the motherboard using Aura LED lighting. 28 of these LEDs, the whole with a special tool can be provided with different RGB colors. There is also the ROG Armor ‘is present to strengthen the plate and in order to protect it from heat. There is no word yet on pricing and availability.
