Asus presents 5.2mm thick smartphone with 5000mAh battery




Asus has its own event in India Zenfone Max announced a 5.2mm thick smartphone with a 5000mAh battery. It is the first time that a manufacturer announces a thin phone with such a large battery.

Although there are also other devices to be obtained with large batteries, which are often thicker than the regular versions with smaller battery. The Moto Maxx with 3900mAh battery for example 8.3mm, while the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 with a 4100mAh battery out onto 7,9mm. The Gionee Marathon M4, a China Phone with a large battery, has a thickness of 10,2mm. Devices with a thickness under 5.5mm so far have batteries with a capacity of around 2500mAh.

Asus did not many details are known of the Zenfone Max, who is considered a variant of the earlier published Zenfone 2. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410. This is different than the Zenfone 2, which has an Intel Atom on board. It has a 13-megapixel camera on the back with laser autofocus, while the front camera has a maximum resolution of 5 megapixels. The screen is 5.5 “wide, but the resolution is still unknown.

Other details, such as the size, screen resolution and Android version, Asus has not disclosed. The device comes in October 2015 in India for an undisclosed price. Or, the device will also appear in Europe, it is not yet clear.
