Asus shows RX 480 Strix and MSI put teaser RX 480 X Online Gaming




Asus has announced that the manufacturer will soon release a Radeon RX 480 Strix. The video card is equipped with the DirectCU III cooler with three fans. MSI has its RX 480 X Gaming yet announced, but the card is already shown on a photograph published on GoT.

The AMD Radeon RX 480 was released Wednesday, but so far only available as reference. Soon, manufacturers come up with their own versions and Asus bites the ball rolling with the announcement of his Strix model. The manufacturer gives no details about the clock speed of the GPU; it can be seen that it is an 8GB model and that the cooler is equipped with RGB LEDs.

Asus says that the card will be available soon, but mentions no specific launch date. It is not yet known what the video card will cost. For reference models AMD has a suggested retail price of 260 euros, although many providers prove that currently sit above. Probably be video cards with custom coolers expensive.

MSI also shows an RX 480, although the manufacturer still something mysterious about it. On Gathering of Tweakers is a teaser photo posted , showing the Radeon RX 480 X Gaming. This card has a cooler with two large fans, probably the TwinFrozr VI, which is also on the Nvidia GTX 1080 and 1070 X Gaming is. Further details are not yet known.

Probably more manufacturers announce their own versions of the AMD Radeon RX 480 in the coming days. Currently there are no reviews of customized versions published. All reviews deal with the reference model. The overclocking potential of GPU proved thereby disappointing and tests will have to show or custom variants do better in that area.
