Материал для сверхпрочных чехлов

Professor at Yale University, has developed a rather unusual accessory for your smartphone. This is a special rugged carrying case, which is made of a material called glass iron.

According to the developer, Professor Jen Shroers (Jan Schroers), this material is 50 times harder than plastic, is 10 times harder than aluminum and is 3 times stronger than steel. These characteristics allow to produce protective accessories for smartphones, which will be much more resistant to scratches. Moreover, the weight cover is lower than that of its analogues plastic.

As the resource, this material also allows you to create sections for plastic buttons on the side faces of the smartphone, allowing you to make mobile devices more water resistant.

Another important advantage of the material is that the manufacture of accessories necessary in certain circumstances little energy is expended. This allows you to create strong, small and cheap cases for smartphones.

Currently professor founded his own company Supercool Metals capacity development of iron glass. Rights to the technology owned by Yale University, so let’s hope that researchers will continue to develop and market these technologies.
