Atari Asteroids after considering: Outpost generate several old titles alive

Atari brings Friday early acces version of Asteroids: Outpost off. This is the first game in a series of reissues of old titles. In the near future should appear new versions of games like Warlords, Adventure, Tempest and Missile Command.

Atari announced the new Asteroids already in early February, but then could not say when this version would come out. Asteroids: Outpost is a mmo-suvivalgame in an open game world, completely different from the simple-looking game from the seventies. The player is a deep space miner who must find valuable resources, mining and protect. These early acces version is immediately accessible via Steam .

In the game mankind has fallen into the far corners of the solar system. The asteroid belt between is filled with raw materials. ‘The Belt’ is the new frontier of mankind and is a kind of wild west where the player is constantly under attack from rival miners and may be affected by smaller asteroids that must be streaked.

With the release of this version hopes the developer through feedback from the community to make a better game. Atari wants to apply this strategy on several old games, in particular Warlords, Adventure, Tempest and Missile Command called. The company hopes to announce a new generation of gamers with these titles.
