Battlefield V will probably have Japanese and American armies in the fall

EA and DICE have provided an overview of what free new content Battlefield V will get between now and the coming fall. This concerns new game modes, maps and probably also new armies. It seems that the conflict between the US and Japan will be added in the fall.

Battlefield V roadmap Chapter 3-5 The news post shows that we are currently in the second chapter of the Battlefield V content, called Lightning Strikes . Next Monday, March 25, the third chapter, Trial by Fire , will start with the Firestorm mode . In addition, new missions for the Combined Arms co-op-pve mode will follow in April, the Mercury map in Crete will be published in May and the Outpost mode in June. All parts of the third chapter are further explained in a separate post .

DICE says less about chapter four, Defying the Odds . It starts in June at least. It is stated that new maps and modes will be introduced, with the description Up Close and Personal , which suggests that these are small-scale environments where the emphasis is on infantry fighting. There will also be a folder called Marita, which is located in Greece, and a folder that focuses on highly urbanized environments.

The fifth chapter of the game will follow in the fall. The developers deliberately don’t tell much about it, but the name has already been announced: Awakening the Giant . The title probably refers to an alleged quote from Japanese General Yamamoto, the brain behind the surprise attack on the American Pearl Harbor. The attack was the starting signal for American participation in WW2. The fact that DICE also speaks of conflicts on land, at sea and in the air and that players are taken to a completely new battlefield, further reinforces the suspicion that it is about the US-Japan battle.
