Belgian ISP Telenet increases its prices again, after the price increase last year led to numerous complaints. This time the prices go up by a few percent. All-in-one subscription Whop has the largest price increase.

The price of Whop without hiring a digicoder goes up from 56.79 euros to 58.63 euros per month, an increase of nearly two euros. The increase is at least Freephone Europe, which goes up from 21.70 euros to 22.10 euros, according to the price list which Telenet has put online. The new prices will be February 14 and also apply to current customers. The mobile subscriptions and King Kong in price remain the same.

The increase is necessary due to increased traffic on the network, claiming the provider. “We expect from the internet that always goes everywhere super smooth. But in recent years the Internet is increasingly used more intensively. And that calls for an ever stiffer becoming network “according to the provider. That would seek investments that should make the price increase necessary. Telenet is a sister company of the Dutch Ziggo. Both providers are owned by Liberty Global.
