Belgian smartphone users consume an average of 220MB per month. That’s a lot less than in the Netherlands, for example. Almost half of the Belgians now has a smartphone, a lot more than three years ago.

The number of users of mobile internet in Belgium rose from 16 percent in 2011 to 45 percent in September 2013, writes Datanews. That’s almost a tripling in just a few years. The European average is around 53 percent.

Using Belgians on average, according to the survey , conducted by Idate commissioned by telecom authority BIPT 220MB per month. That’s less than the slightly more than 300MB in the Netherlands and much less than the average of about 800MB in Germany.
