Belgian takes first suspected screenshots Windows 9 online

A Belgian developer has put online two screenshots of what the successor to Windows 8.1 should be. The screenshots show the new start menu with live tiles and the Windows Store. Knowledgeable sites believe that the screenshots are real.

The screenshots show an internal build of what the info screen shows as Windows 8.1 Pro, but with version 6.4; the current Windows 8.1 Update 1 has version numbers starting with 6.3. Moreover, the build numbers match with what Microsoft is now internally testing, would notify the well established Neowin. The Verge also says according to his sources that the screenshots are real.

The screenshots show the Start menu next few new items. That would be because several changes in the new version of Windows, code-named Threshold, sitting in various internal builds of the new OS.

The Belgian developer Bavo Luijsterborg the screenshots online put on Microsoft has not yet responded, and it is not obvious that it is going to happen: the software has so far announced anything about Windows Threshold, which is rumored to be released next spring.
