Bethesda brings forward release Wolfenstein: The New Order to May 20




Wolfenstein: The New Order is on May 20th globally. Publisher Bethesda has thus aligned the release of the game in the different continents. Initially, the game was released in Europe on May 23.

Bethesda announces the new release date, including through Facebook. In the U.S., the release date was already on 20 May, but now also true for the rest of the world. Why the date is moved, it is not exactly clear. The new date is for both the PlayStation 3 and 4 for the Xbox 360 and One and Windows. It will be the first Wolfenstein game come true for nearly five years. The New Order uses iD Tech 5, the same technology was used in the game. Rage

The game is in development at the Swedish studio Machine Games. While that no previous titles are still in his name, the studio founded by former employees of Starbreeze Studios. In the past the last developer was responsible for include The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. Earlier Wolfenstein titles were developed by, among others Splash Damage, Raven Software and Gray Matter.

Bethesda has moreover ‘Panzerhund Edition “of The New Order unveiled . The collector’s edition, which will receive a limited edition of 5,000 pieces, will cost $ 100 and will not include the game itself. Bethesda motivates this choice by stating that ‘you can leave your pre-order in this way, and you do not have to wait for the whole package before you can play the game. ” What there is in the Panzerhund Edition, is a case in footlocker-style which includes a statue of Panzerhund, one of the enemies of the New Order. In addition, the case includes a number of classified documents, which emblems, a set of dog tags and a steelbook.
