Bethesda, in cooperation with ThinkGeek with a new Pip-Boy, which has its own screen and real working knobs. The first version was just a container for smartphones. The new model does not work with the game Fallout 4.

The Pip-Boy: Bluetooh Deluxe Edition is just like the previously released version modeled after the Pip-Boy Model 3000 Mk IV RobCo Industries from the Fallout games. The new however is much more advanced model, there is a built own screen and ‘most’ buttons on the accessory really work, say the authors. On top of the wearable is a compartment for a holotape, who works with a USB port. Luxury physical Pip-Boy is not functional in combination with Fallout 4; there is no support for the companion app of Fallout 4.

Via Bluetooth, the device can attach itself to a smartphone. Thus the Pip-Boy will include access to contacts and it is possible to make calls or send text messages. If the Pip-Boy is not paired with a smartphone screen works well. The gadget can be used as an alarm or as a cosplay accessory. The screen then displays the Status, Special- and Perk screens from Fallout 4.

The product Bethesda and ThinkGeek show now is a prototype. Later, say the companies to make more is known about the technical details. It is expected the Pip-Boy Deluxe comes out in November. The price is $ 349.99. ThinkGeek says that the device will not be available outside the US and Canada.
