BlackBerry adds 120fps slow-motion function to Priv

BlackBerry has released new apps for its Android smartphone Priv. The camera which gives it the ability to make movies with 120fps, good for a delay of four times. new versions have appeared also on the launcher and keyboard app.

The 18-megapixel camera of the BlackBerry Priv was hitherto possible to make movies in ultra-HD resolution of 3840×2160 pixels at 30fps or in full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 60 fps. The new BlackBerry Camera app adds a slow-motion function to which the device record with 120fps. The videos are played back at 30fps, so the images are displayed four times slower than the reality. Audio recording is not supported when using slow motion.

Furthermore, BlackBerry has been updated launcher given . The app launcher of the new version sort the apps users in the categories ‘recently’, ‘work’ and ‘private’. Also, apps stored on a micro SD card is now grayed out when the card is inserted.

Finally, there is an update for the BlackBerry Keyboard. The new app needs to provide better forecasting and automatic corrections, both with the use of the physical and digital keyboard Priv. Through emails and process’ social messages “key must be able to understand the user’s type style better.
